Dr. John Robert “Bobby” Adolph was born on April 9, 1966 in Houston, Texas.  He is the son of the late  Seymour V., Sr. and Lady Barbara Adolph.  He attended East Houston Elementary School, Kirby Middle School and Smiley Senior High School. Dr. Adolph entered Texas Southern University on full scholarship in 1984 and received a BA Degree in December 1989. In 1992 after being ordained in the ministry by his father Rev. Seymour Adolph, Sr., Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Houston, he continued matriculating at Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, GA.  While in Georgia he met and married the love of his life, Dorrie Eileen and they are now the proud parents of two children, Sumone and Jonathan Adolph.

Upon graduation from Morehouse with a degree of Master of Divinity, Pastor Adolph was called to become the under shepherd of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Beaumont, TX.  He accepted this call and has led the flock for 15 years.  In pursuit to further his education and his desire to learn more of the teachings of religion, he entered the Houston School of Theology and graduated with his doctorate degree.

Pastor Adolph is active in many facets of both religious and community affairs.  He is on the Board of Directors for Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital, the Board for the National Baptist Convention, Inc. of America, the Board of the “I Have a Dream” program, the President of the Southeast Chapter of One Church One Child adoption agency, a Rotary club member, a member of the ministerial alliance, the CEO of Jehovah Jireh Village and many more community endeavors.

Pastor Adolph arrived in the Beaumont area with a vision.  Because of his dynamic preaching and teaching of the word of God membership at Antioch has grown to nearly 9,000.  Pastor Adolph had a vision for the city and community and from this vision the church purchased 29 acres of land upon which a new edifice was constructed located at 3920 W Cardinal Drive.  His vision went further and came to fruition with the city opening new streets, for the first time ever by a church, and the building of affordable homes for low to middle income families and first time home buyers. Still, his vision did not stop there; a new building is under construction for a school for youth education as well as plans for Senior Citizen Apartments. We have also partnered with the builder in the construction of affordable townhomes.  In continuing with spreading the word throughout the world, Pastor Adolph has traveled extensively not only within the United States but also to Haiti, Ghana, Accrra, Kenya and Oxford in England.

Pastor Adolph is especially known for the sermon “Somebody Go Get Leroy”. This message has reached from the ghetto to the White House, to overseas and to the men and women of our armed forces.  He has authored several books, has a daily devotion blog and more recently established the Community Tabernacle Church in the San Jacinto mall in Baytown, TX.  He has instituted an extension of the Grace School of Theology for training of those interested in the ministry.  Truly a man without a vision is a man with no destiny.  Pastor Adolph is indeed a man of vision on a mission.
